Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have it to the full,” (John 10:10, NIV).
Life to the full… what does that even look like on this side of heaven?
If at Lifegate Women we believe a woman can live fully alive when she knows her name, value, and purpose – what does that mean? What does that mean for you? What does it mean for me?
Because the thing is, I don’t want my life to just look fully alive, I want it to be Fully Alive!
I want to live life from the inside out; I want to experience all God has for me in my spirit, so that I can see it produced in the fruit of my life.
Habakkuk 2:4 in The Message says, “Look at that man, bloated by self-importance—full of himself but soul-empty. But the person in right standing before God through loyal and steady believing is fully alive, really alive.”
That’s the kind of life I want – not just for myself, but for the people around me, too. I want our women to be part of a generation that is so full of Life, the world can’t help but notice! I want us to be women who model the love and grace of Jesus, because we have been transformed by it ourselves, and we are so compelled by His love, we can’t help but give it away! I want us to be women who haven’t just tasted the goodness of God, but have experienced it in every nook and cranny of our lives!
Because we let Him in.
Because we chose to believe.
Because we stretched our faith.
Because we want more.
More of Him.
That’s what this year is about. It’s about learning to live Fully Alive, by experiencing more of Jesus. It’s about doing the hard heart work, and allowing Him to see us at our most vulnerable. By tilling up the soil, pulling out rooted lies of the enemy, and watering seeds of truth, we are going to grow as women who embrace life. Women who are carefree and cut-loose. Women who are Spirit-filled with arms raised. Women who are strong, rooted, grateful, and upright. Women who are peaceful and fruitful. Women who are undone by God’s grace and love well.
Understand, this isn’t about living for yourself, or satisfying your own selfish motives the way the world would have you think – this is about glorifying God by living out your God-given destiny and being fearless to do so. Better yet, this is about embracing the good, the beautiful, even the ugly – and loving all of it. It’s about a life lived Fully Alive.
Join us this year, as we grow into all we are called to be.
“They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”
