What’s Fear Got To Do With It?

There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror!  For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] whomever is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection].

1 John 4:18 amplified

Our God has perfect, approachable, complete love that surrounds our heart and turns fear out of doors expelling every trace of terror!  Whether fear creeps in or boldly stands against our heart, mind or emotions a daughter of God has no reason to fear what life brings her way.

Fear has been around since the Garden.  In Genesis, God was looking for Adam and Eve after the infamous ‘apple’ incident.  Adam said to God, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”  It was the same then as it is now:  the fear you feel is usually a result of a lie you believed.  If you are in relationship with Jesus and you are still believing the lie, STOP!  God has created you to do great things, but fear stands at the door to every destiny.  Being fearful is not part of your personality.  It comes to cripple you when God has called you to do something great for Him.  Remember that the presence of perfect love…God’s Love, is bigger than any fear that you face.  Fear you are NOT welcome here!
