Heart 2 Hearts

I can’t leave here without your presence!

…said Moses to God.  I need you, I’m desperate for you, I can’t take this journey without you!  He may have been thinking of the rough terrain, the enemies facing him who were not willing to give up their land without a fight, traveling with the Israelites could put anyone in a panic…OR maybe he had learned that the journey was not worth taking without God’s presence in the lead.

Moses spoke to God in an area just outside of camp.  God would cover the entrance to the tent with a pillar of cloud and speak to Moses like one speaks to a friend.

Moses asked for favor, for God’s presence, and to see God’s glory and that is what he received.  As you journey through life, don’t go without God’s presence!  Hunger, thirst, long, ask, beg for his presence to go with you…and he will.

I encourage you to listen to the Hearts Omaha podcast if you missed today’s teaching.  Anne was hilarious today.  It is definitely worth another listen.  http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/hearts-omaha/id389582307

Take time to Journal this week:

1. What is God showing you through this time of fasting?

2.  What is something he has revealed to you that you need to pursue him for?

3.  Are you hungry for his presence?  Put those longings down on paper.

Food Schedule for 2/7 includes tables 1-5.  Please bring a healthy snack to share with the group before 9am.  We are always getting more requests for fruit, veggies, and casseroles.
