I’d Rather Be…Investing
In Hearts today we talked about investment. We all invest in things everyday. When I go to the store I invest in food hoping that it will bring my family the nourishment that we need. When I go to the doctor’s office, I invest in the wisdom and knowledge she has to diagnose or give me direction for a healthy lifestyle. I invest in relationships for the return of companionship and community.
Sometimes I think that I don’t have enough time, talent, or money for investment. I am a busy mom of 4…enough said about the time and money bit. 🙂 As far as talent goes…it does take talent to manage 6 schedules and remain semi-sane…or at least I think I am!?!?
The Investment we learned about this morning is “living a life of significance.” God has wired each of us to have significance. It’s in our DNA. His Word says:
From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. (Ephesians 4:16 NIV)
We all have a significant part to play serving, leading, and loving people. If you haven’t found your “sweet spot” in serving the Kingdom, what is keeping you from it?
Food Schedule for 1/31 includes tables 11-17. Remember, next week is the last week of the fast. Please bring fruits and vegetables and juice during this time to share with the group, before 9am.
