It’s amazing to me how fast time flies! I can’t believe we have one more week of Hearts before our Holiday break. I have been so blessed by our teaching and theme “Our Heart: God’s Dwelling Place” this Fall. My prayer is that you have been blessed as well.
Next week is our Fall Celebration in which we all bring delicious food, encouraging notes for one another, and bless one another with testimonies of God’s faithfulness. I am so thankful for each woman who comes to Hearts and for what God is doing in and through us as Lifegate Women.
Christine used the analogy of piecing together quilts this morning. I have tried to make a few quilts in my life. “Tried” is the key word here. A few turned out, a few remain unfinished and others I gave up on. Like a quilt, when looking at our lives, we need perspective. If we only look at the pieces or the unfinished edges it tends to be overwhelming and uninspiring. But if we look from the top at the finished portion, as it all comes together, we get the revelation of beauty and purpose Christ has given to us.
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:14-15
Don’t forget to bring an item for the women of Restored Hope next week. Come with a thankful heart next week. We have much to celebrate!!
