Heart 2 Hearts

Hi Ladies,

The Heart 2 Hearts letter is for all the women who attend Hearts.  It will give you updates, meeting schedules, and insights from our Hearts meeting that week.  Please be sure to subscribe to the Lifegate Women blog to receive this letter weekly.

The first two weeks of Hearts was amazing.  I’m hearing all kinds of encouraging words about how you all are excited and ready to roll for the new season of Hearts!

The theme for this year is DWELL based on Psalm 84.  I felt God prompting my heart back in April as I began to meditate on Psalm 84.  We all have a home, a dwelling in which we live.  Well, so does God!  The first session we will be focusing on OUR HEART:  God’s Dwelling Place.  Dr. Deb gave some wonderful insights into the dwelling place of God since the beginning when Adam and Eve lived here on earth.  Take time and journal our discussion questions from this week:

1. The presence of God cannot be contained.  Yet for many people, there are certain places or locations where they experience a unique, special time with Him.  Have you ever had that kind of experience?

2. When we think about where we live, we forget that God wants to be as present in our ‘dwelling place’ (home) with us.  With this in mind, can you think of anything in your home that would affect God’s desire to dwell there?

3.  Name one way that you can develop a sense of God’s presence more regularly in your life? (ex: finding a place to pray in your home, setting aside more time to be with Him, creating a more ‘intimate’ place spiritually where you live)

Meditating on God’s Word is so important for spiritual growth.  We want to become Women of the Word.  Take a few moments each day to dwell on our meditation verse.

Exodus 25: 8 “Have them make a sanctuary for me and I will dwell among them.”

Food Schedule for 9/27 includes tables 6-10.  Please bring a healthy snack to share with the group.  We are always getting more requests for fruit, veggies, and casseroles.
